Gary got his start in real estate in the early 80s after working for many years in a traditional corporate environment. Seeing both his brother and father successfully self-employed, he decided to pursue his own entrepreneurial dream to work more independently and be his own boss. With an outgoing personality and desire to help others, real estate offered a natural fit.
With 70 to 80% repeat and referral business, Gary’s lifelong clients have come to appreciate and value his candid advice, honesty and integrity. A fourth generation Rota in Kamloops, award-winning full time REALTOR® Blair Rota had the pleasure of growing up in a community that offers endless athletic, recreational and business opportunities. With a shared strong connection to the city, the Rotas have always made real estate and helping others their family business. Blair’s grandfather, Bert Foster, owned and operated a successful real estate office in Kamloops and his father, Randy Rota, was a highly respected financial advisor and professional hockey player for forty years combined. Moreover, his uncle, Darcy Rota, played for the Canucks. Raised in such a strong and well-rounded environment, it was only natural that Blair would pursue a career focused on bettering the lives of others too.
As Blair notes, “I also pursued a career in hockey, but quickly realized I just wasn't as good as my dad and uncle!" Instead, his experiences led him to the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology in Edmonton where he studied business for two years, earning a diploma in marketing. Putting his entrepreneurial spirit to the test, he owned and operated a successful vinyl fencing and decking Installation company for five years. Prior to that, he also worked in the log homebuilding industry for four years. Today, this combined experience has proven invaluable to his clients who trust his keen eye for various construction and building standards.
Blair’s success in real estate has been built on establishing honest and trusting relationships. After three short years, he landed in the top 5% of selling REALTORS® where he has remained for the past five years. Early on, he made it his mission to tighten what he perceived as a gap between consumers and real estate agents, where issues around trust, service and communication were all too common. With this in mind, the Rota/Ireland 7-Step Advantage Selling System was designed to offer clients a consistent and results-oriented selling model.
Milestone achievements include recognition by Mibroc Group and the Kamloops Daily News for his efforts in helping sell out Phase 1 & 2 of the Talasa development where he sold more units than any other REALTOR® at the grand opening day event. In 2008, Blair earned Platinum Realty Kamloops agent of the year and has recently celebrated eight years in the business.
As a natural communicator with an outgoing personality, Cassie developed a passion for real estate at an early age. As a child, a family friend’s real estate business gave her the idea to help others find the perfect property and make their dreams come true. She even followed him around and took pictures of houses. Quickly learning the important role realtors play in the buying and selling process, she realized this was what she was born to do!
Following her natural interests, Cassie gained valuable experience working as a real estate assistant. Rising to the challenges of the business, she made a decision to pursue her license, and soon found herself juggling a busy work/school schedule. Yet while many new agents can feel “thrown into business” Cassie was helped along the way and shown the ropes by colleague and mentor Blair Rota. Born and raised in Kamloops, Brock offers his clients an insider's perspective on the city's neighborhoods, services and amenities, as well as firsthand knowledge of some of the vast properties and popular vacation areas found in Kamloop's rural areas.
Pursuing real estate was a natural direction for Brock who has several family members with successful careers in the industry. Given his outgoing personality and great communication skills, becoming a Realtor offered the ideal career path. Moreover, his experience in the construction industry has proven a key asset, enabling him to provide valuable insight into the different types of building structures and make suggestions for property upgrades or how to minimize risks.
Brock attributes his flexible, team-oriented approach to his many years involved with junior hockey playing both locally and throughout North America. Scott has over 26 years experience in owning and operating small businesses in British Columbia. His experience in sales and working with consumers was a driving force in his interest in real estate.
